Our Religious Leader

Cantor Larry I. Charson

With an education from Boston University and the New England Conservatory of Music's Graduate Opera Theatre in Boston, Cantor Larry Charson leads our Shabbat Services and is the primary Religious Leader for our Congregation. Cantor Charson joined Temple B'nai Israel in 2006 after being in South Florida. Being an honors graduate of the Hebrew Union College School of Sacred Music, his talents far exceed the sanctuary as he participates in activities throughout the Temple, Religious School and community. Our Temple Administrator & Director of the Religious School-Carrie Richman

As expected for a smaller congregation, our staff is small too. What we lack in numbers, however, they make up for in talent and dedication! Carrie Richman has been a member of Temple B'nai Israel since 2000. Besides making sure everything at the temple runs smoothly, she can answer any question or get the information you need. Carrie is  employed as both the Administrative Assistant to the Cantor, the Executive Board and Temple Committees and as the Director of the Religious School for the fourth year in a row. Carrie attended the 2006 CAJE conference in Raleigh NC and brings lots of experience in teaching into the Temple's Religious School.
