EDUCATION & COMMUNITY

A Whole New Level

As part of our mission to be an integral part of the community, we provide a wide range of educational opportunities. These include: Religious School for our children, Intro to Reform Judaism for adults, Lifecycle classes, History of Antisemitism, Hebrew, Israeli dancing, book clubs, cooking classes and more.

Check out our course schedule via links below or our calendar in order to sign up for our wide range of classes.

Our joint congregational school serves the Jewish children of Southwest Michigan in grades PreK-10, whose families belong to the Congregation of Moses (Kalamazoo), Temple B’nai Israel (Kalamazoo), and Temple Beth El (Battle Creek). Our curriculum includes material that represents the views of both the Union for Reform Judaism and the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Students attend 3-5 hours a week, depending upon grade level. For more information please click the button below. For questions and enrollment please reach out to the OKCJS Director.

Some of our offerings are open to the community or co-sponsored by other organizations/groups in Kalamazoo. We welcome you to join us for them as well!
